Roderick Beard(KCEN) -- The two men accused of robbing Smoker's World on August 25 have been arrested by Killeen Police.
At 1:19 p.m. officers responded to a call that the store, located on East Rancier, had been robbed.
Witnesses said a white male and a black male, both in their 40s or 50s came in and demanded money and cigarettes.
The white male threatened a store employee and kept a hand inside his bag but never showed a weapon. While he was doing this the black male took several cigarettes from the store.
The men fled on foot. Officers on the scene informed other officers of the suspect's descriptions and both suspects were caught. The white male was caught on 42nd Street and the black male was caught at 38th Street and Lake Road.
The white male was identified as 48-year-old Thomas Michael Armstrong Jr. and the black male was identified as 38-year-old Roderick Bruce Beard.
Both men were charged with robbery and both are being held at the Bell County Jail. Their bond is set at $100,000.
