(KCEN) -- A pool house on River Place Drive in Belton was severely damaged this morning by a fire.
The owner of the building said he saw a fire inside and was tried to put the flames out with water from a garden hose. He was unable to do so.
When firefighters arrived at 5:21 a.m. the fire was coming through the roof of the pool house, which is located behind a home. They were able to extinguish the fire quickly, but the building still received a lot of damage.
The fire was ruled accidental by the Belton Fire Marshal's Office. The cause is still under investigation.
