Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Killeen police officers arrested a woman after she injured an officer and fled from a traffic stop on September 4.

Officers were investigating an accident at Jasper and South Fort Hood Street when the woman drove up in an orange Crown Victoria. She tried to drive through the area blocked by the accident.

The vehicle was stopped and when an officer asked 40-year-old Hyneshia Darchele Addison for her license, she fled the area in the vehicle, injuring the officer.

A pursuit ensued south on Fort Hood Street, west on West Lane and south on Old 440. Officers then found the vehicle vacant on the 1100 block of Circle M.

The suspect was located in a trailer park in the 3200 block of South Fort Hood Street and was arrested.

Addison was charged with Assault on a Peace Officer and Evading Arrest and is being held in the Bell County jail on a $100,000 bond for each charge.
