(KCEN) -- More veterans were able to get back into the job market last month, but it's not all good news.
While the jobless rate for veterans did fall for the third month in a row to 6.6 percent, unemployment for younger vets actually went up.
It jumped from 8.9 percent in July to 10.9 percent in August.
That's only a slight improvement from this time last year. When it sat at more than 11 percent.
But there are a lot of efforts to fix it.
There have been a flood of job fairs and legislation aimed at doing just that.
