(KCEN) UPDATE 9/09 3:20 PM -- Limestone DPS Troopers have now released the cause of yesterday's fatal car crash that killed a Mexia woman and sent another to the hospital.
They say 35-year-old Mexia resident Sabrina Lynn Brewer ran a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 971 and County Road 930 just after 11:00 AM Saturday morning.
Brewer was driving a Cadillac when she hit 25-year-old Ashley Dawn Lerma's Jeep.
Brewer died at the scene.
Lerma was injured but has since been treated and released.

(KCEN) -- One woman is dead and another injured after an accident just three miles east of Mexia this afternoon.
Just after 11:00 AM a Cadillac and a Jeep collided at the intersection of County Road 971 and County Road 930.
The driver of the Cadillac was 35-year-old Mexia resident Sabrina Lynn Brewer.
Brewer died at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, 25-year-old Ashley Dawn Lerma was injured but has since been treated and released.
Police are not releasing the cause of that crash.
