
(KCEN) -- Traffic was stopped for several hours in Waco Saturday afternoon after a suspicious package was found in a the parking lot of 1301 Austin Avenue.
Police say the package was actually an old television that had been taped up and had wires attached to it.
McLennan County Sheriff's Bomb Unit took x-rays of the device and determined it was not an explosive device.
Police later found the man responsible.
He told them he left the box there because voices were telling him it was full of drugs and he needed to get rid of it.
There were no drugs inside the TV.
That man was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
