A group called Homes for Our Troops is holding a community volunteer day to work on the home of Marine Staff Sergeant Jack Pierce on September 15, starting at 8 a.m.
Pierce was paralyzed while deployed to Afghanistan when a bomb exploded under his vehicle in January 2010.
Volunteers are needed to complete projects in his home to allow him to be able to independently access all areas of his home from his wheelchair.
If you would like more information on how you can help, visit www.homesforoutrtoops.org/pierce.
Pierce's home is located at 19 Key Wish Drive in Morgan's Point.
