(KCEN) -- You may be in luck if you were hoping to land some work during the upcoming holiday season.

According to a new survey, 57 percent of retailers said they will hire the same amount of workers during the holiday season as they did last year.

And 36 percent reported they plan on hiring more than last year.

As far as when you begin to see holiday promotions, 58 percent will wait until November and 42 percent are waiting until October to begin their promotional blitz.
