Mars Rover to Explore Crater - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- NASA's Curiosity rover will soon begin some interesting science missions while exploring the surface of Mars.

The rover will begin its trek to a huge crater, where three different types of terrain intersect on the red planet.

On the way, it will use its mast camera system to document the passage of Mars' two moons across the face of the sun.

A Texas A&M professor is part of the team that built and manages those cameras.
