(KCEN) -- What started as a routine traffic stop ended with a 77-year-old driver being arrested in north Texas.
And police are standing behind the officer who placed the grandmother in cuffs.
Dashcam footage and the officer's uniform camera show 77-year-old Lynn Bedford refusing to hand over her drivers license and insurance.
She was pulled over for doing 66 in a 50 mile-per-hour zone in Keene, near Fort Worth.
After she repeatedly refused to hand over the documents, the cop gave her an ultimatum.
And when she refused again, then wouldn't get out of the car, the cop took action. He pulled the woman out of her vehicle and handcuffed her.
The officer then ticketed Bedford for speeding and failure to identify herself.
Keene city officials reviewed the tapes and are standing by the officer's actions, saying he asked Bedford multiple times for her license and insurance and followed department policy for someone who refuses to provide identification.
