(KCEN) -- A 10-year-old brought a knife onto a Temple school bus yesterday afternoon. The juvenile pulled the knife out of his pocket, opened it and started waving it around.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on September 13 and was reported immediately by the bus driver and police were notified.
The bus was on the 300 block of West Avenue O in Temple. When officers arrived, they recovered a small pocket knife from the suspect.
The child was taken off the bus and released to a parent. The school district and police are investigating the incident.
No students or school staff were injured. The Temple Police Department Juvenile Investigations Unit is carrying out the investigation.
