(KCEN) -- In Houston, two women were taken to jail after police found their three little girls home alone in an apartment with no electricity or food.
But what's more shocking is where the two mothers were discovered while their kids were home alone.
Lucidalia Martinez and Brenda Vazquez left their children at home so they could go to McDonald's to eat.
Their children, ages two, three and eight were left alone inside the apartment with no power and rotting food in the fridge.
There is no word yet on how long they were left alone inside the hot, dark apartment.
But just before 9 p.m., they went next door and told neighbors their mommies had left them.
Both women are being held in jail without bond.
They're charged with child endangerment.
