Family of Arrested Grandmother Outraged Over Police Conduct

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) --  There is new information about the now infamous traffic stop that ended with a Keene officer pulling a 77-year-old grandma from her SUV.

Her family is speaking out about the arrest saying the officer showed no patience and the dash cam video speaks for itself.

The woman's granddaughter Aubrey McQue says, "I just wish that it never happened that he changes his attitude, he gets some therapy on it he understands how to deal with people better and maybe some anger management would be in order and an apology would be nice because she really is embarrassed by this that people think that she's a criminal, she's not a criminal."

Seventy-seven-year-old Lynn Bedford was pulled over for doing 66 in a 50 mile-per-hour zone.

After several attempts to get Bedford's drivers license the officer pulled her from the SUV.

Keene police are standing behind that officers actions.
