Sexting Linked to Other Risky Behavior in Teens

(KCEN) -- Sexting is now being associated with other risky behavior in teens.

Based on data from more than 1,800 Los Angeles-area high school students, researchers at USC found 15 perfect had sent or received sexually explicit text messages or photos.

Those teens were also more likely to be sexually active and have unprotected sex.

The report shows sexting is more common among African American youth and gay and lesbian teenagers.
