(KCEN) -- From a life-altering choice to the chance to become a world champion, a north Texas mother is embracing her new life with a passion.
Jennifer Clark had to make a gut-wrenching decision three years ago.
She had a grapefruit-sized benign tumor growing on the back of her left knee, so she decided against chemotherapy and had the leg amputated.
Now, three years later, she's discovered the Challenged Athlete's Foundation and Triathlon.
So she decided to travel to New Zealand next month to compete in the Para-Triathlon World Championships on October 22.
