Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Ever dreamed of getting an Ivy League education?

Well now it's possible online, for free.

Coursera is an education startup founded by two Stand ford professors in 2011.

It lets people from all over the world enroll in free online courses.

Schools like Princeton, Harvard, Stanford and 13 more top schools have joined up with the program.

A Princeton professor teaching introduction to sociology had over 40,000 students in enrolled in his course.

A Coursera survey found a majority of students taking the classes were working professionals, hoping to improve their skills in their current job, or get themselves a better one.

Only 3 and a half percent of the students were unemployed.

Some of the classes offered by Coursera include mathematical biostatistics boot camp from Johns Hopkins University and writing in the sciences from Stanford.
