(KCEN) -- One kitten in Oregon got very lucky and managed to saved one of its nine lives after getting in a sticky situation.

A homeowner in Portland heard a kitten crying for help through a basement wall Sunday evening.

Turns out, the kitten was stuck in a drain pipe.

The Portland Fire and Rescue crews came to the scene and used shovels, a plumbing company's tiny camera and other equipment to rescue the little feline.

After six hours, their hard work paid off.

The firefighters took it to the station that night and named it Champ.
