(KCEN) -- The final hearing for a segment of the I-35 expansion project will be held in Waco today.

It starts at 7 p.m. at the University High School off New Road.

The hearing will allow the public to see the final design plans, ask questions to the engineers and give comments about the project for public record.

The proposed construction will expand I-35 to four lanes in each direction and add new, continuous frontage roads with six-foot sidewalks and curbs and gutters.

Improved bike and pedestrian access are also included in the plans.
