(KCEN) -- SpaceX is almost ready for lift off again.
The private space company will send its first of 12 cargo resupply missions to the International Space Station on October 7.
SpaceX made history in May when it became the first commercial spacecraft to dock at the International Space Station.
It builds and tests its spacecraft in McGregor, outside of Waco.
SpaceX hopes to eventually send manned flights into space and founder Elon Musk has even higher hopes to one day send people to the planet Mars.
