(KCEN) -- Victims of Bernie Madoff's ponzi scheme are celebrating a little bit of good news.
A court-appointed trustee said they will receive another 2.5 billion dollars of their stolen funds.
The trustee says he mailed more than 1,200 checks on Wednesday to the investors who got burned by the biggest ponzi scheme in history.
That means now more than a thousand investors have been fully reimbursed, according to the trustee's office. But more than a thousand are still waiting to receive all of their stolen funds.
Madoff pleaded guilty to fraud and is currently serving a 150-year sentence in prison.
