GM Recalling Hundreds of Thousands of Vehicles - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- GM is recalling more than 425,000 cars.

A problem with the gear shift prompted GM to recall 2008 through 2010 Chevrolet Malibus and Pontiac G6 vehicles.

Also on the list are certain 2007 through 2010 Saturn Auras.

All have four-speed automatic transmissions.

The tabs on the transmission shift cable end may fracture and separate.

GM will notify affected owners and dealers will fix the problem.
