(KCEN) -- Mitt Romney wants to shift the conversation back to jobs after he spent much of last week on the defense on the economy and leadership.
Romney is hoping to get back on the attack against President Obama.
He will be in the battleground state of Ohio today for a three-day tour with running mate Paul Ryan.
Last week's polls were discouraging, with the releases of a secret videotape and more tax information.
Republicans are ready to move forward, but the democrats are saying not so fast.
Senior Advisor to President Obama David Axelrod said, "It's fair to say that a lot of those 47 percent that he was slandering earlier in the week probably pay more, a higher percentage of their income in taxes overall than he does."
The first presidential debate is in just nine days.
