Belton,
TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Alex Kemp has
been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his
performance in the Cru's 49-28 road victory over Trinity University last Saturday.
Kemp, a freshman defensive end from Canyon Lake High School, recorded
three sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss in UMHB's victory over the Tigers.
He finished with five total tackles
and also forced a fumble in the win.
UMHB
is now 3-0 on the season and ranked second in the nation in both major
national polls following the victory over Trinity. The Cru
will return to action with the American Southwest Conference opener at
Sul Ross State (1-2) in Alpine this Saturday. That game is a 1:00 PM kickoff.
