Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Apple has apologized for their faulty iPhone 5 maps.

CEO Tim Cook posted an open apology to customers, acknowledging their frustration.

He says the company fell short on its commitment to make world class products.

Apple is extremely sorry and Cook says employees are doing everything they can to make maps better.

Until then, he suggests customers download other apps, like Bing or MapQuest.
