One Person Dead After Oil Refinery Explodes in Oklahoma

(KCEN) -- An explosion at a refinery in Oklahoma this evening has killed one person and injured another.

It happened at CVR Energy's Refinery in Wynnewood. 

According to the company a boiler exploded killing an employee. 

Another employee was taken to the hospital in a helicopter. 

Nearby highways were closed and later reopened. 

The blast does not appear to have an impact on the surrounding community.
