(KCEN) -- New information reveals that more homes in Louisiana were damaged than first thought during Hurricane Isaac.
State officials say nearly 59,000 homes in southeast Louisiana alone suffered damage from Isaac. That's four times the original estimate.
The most severe damage was in Plaquemines and St. John the Baptist parishes.
FEMA did door-to-door inspections of more than 120,000 homes after residents registered for federal aid.
