Wineries Talk of Plan for Amazon to Sell Wine

(KCEN) -- A plan for Amazon to sell wine has been uncorked.

The online retailer is planning an online marketplace to sell wine.

Amazon executives won't admit it, but a number of California wineries confirm those plans were presented to them at a workshop last week.

The wineries would ship bottles directly to customers, with Amazon taking a cut and charging the wineries a monthly fee.

The service is expected to start before the holidays.
