(KCEN) -- Today Gov. Rick Perry outlined new initiatives aimed at helping college students save money.

Among those initiatives was a measure that would lock-in tuition costs for four years.

That would ensure students pay the same rate until their expected graduation date.

Perry also renewed his $10,000 challenge to state universities to make school more affordable.

So far nine universities offer a degree at or under that cost.
