(KCEN) -- Today is the first day for early voting in Ohio.
The state joins more than 30 other states, including Iowa that have already begun some form of early voting.
Though Ohio's not the first state to begin voting early, it is a battleground state.
Observers expect the early voting numbers in the state to surpass those in 2008.
Experts predict more than one in three voters will cast their ballots before election day, but those numbers are even higher in battleground states.
