(KCEN) -- Big news out of Pennsylvania.

A judge there has temporarily halted the state's new voter ID law.

It is one of the strictest in the country.

Here in Texas a federal court struck down the state's voter ID law in August, saying it discriminates against minority voters.

Republican supporters said it would stop voter fraud.

Democratic opponents said it would keep voters, mostly their voters, away on election day.

The Pennsylvania ruling is expected to be appealed.
