(KCEN) -- A Houston woman is claiming she was tricked into becoming a surrogate mother.
Cindy Close said she and a male friend agreed to raise the two twins she recently delivered.
But, she said after the children were born, her friend claimed she was just acting as a surrogate for him and his male partner.
Close says Marvin McMurrey, a man who she said pretended to be her friend and promised to be her partner had paid for her in-vitro fertilization using his sperm and a donor egg.
But when the children were born, McMurrey claimed custody of the children with his partner.
Close said she never even knew he was gay.
A suit was filed, challenging the mother-child relationship.
Since Close wasn't linked to the children genetically, the suit alleges they are not hers.
All she has now are visitation rights for two hours a day, six days a week.
Calls to McMurrey's attorney for comment were not returned.
