(KCEN) -- The Texas Workforce Commission is offering more help for those struggling with finding a job.

The commission will give some unemployed Texans a 9-week extension of unemployment benefits.

That's because the Texas unemployment rate has been 7 percent or higher for the last 3 months.

An estimated 32,000 people are affected by this extension.

Those people will receive letters in the mail, notifying them that they qualify.
