(KCEN) -- Texas has only one rational choice, to expand Medicaid under President Obama's medical plan.
That's according to a new study by Waco-based Perryman group.
Their analysis shows expanding Medicaid would bring in a $1.29 return for every dollar spent by the state of Texas over the first 10 years.
And if Texas chooses not to expand, the state would lose the opportunity to bring healthcare to about 1.5 million Texans, losing 90 billion dollars in federal health care funds.
Texas has the highest uninsured and underinsured rates in the nation.
