(KCEN) -- A stray cat is recovering in Temple after it was shot through the face with an arrow.
It was found Tuesday by a salon employee on West Adams Avenue.
The arrow went through the cat's nostril, through its mouth and out of the back of its right shoulder.
The woman took it to the vet who was able to remove the arrow.
Veterinarian Keith Gudge of the Temple Veterinary Hospital was able to stitch the feline up and is helping it to recover.
He said, "She's a remarkable kitty. She's doing real great."
Veterinarians say the next step in her recovery is eating and drinking on her own.
But they say they won't have a problem finding her a home. Thanks to an outpouring of support from the community.
