(KCEN) -- After a deadly meningitis outbreak that killed five people, doctors and hospitals are now urged to stay away from any product made by the pharmacy that is suspected in causing that outbreak.
The New England Compound Center in Massachusetts has recalled more than 17,000 epidural steroid injections and voluntarily suspended all operations.
Federal investigators say they found contamination in a sealed vial of a steroid at the company.
They're testing it to see if it is the fungus that has killed five people and sickened 30 others in six states.
