(KCEN) -- After Friday's better than expected unemployment number of 7.8% the lowest number in President Obamas four year term yet some conservatives are crying foul play.
Jack Welch General Electric's Former CEO tweeted, "Unbelievable jobs numbers these Chicago guys will do anything. Can't debate so they change numbers."
The group Americans for Limited Government suggested someone may have tinkered with the numbers.
But experts say it's next to impossible to manipulate those findings.
Tom Nardone of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics says, "It's collected by about 2,000 interviewers, who are all federal employees, career federal employees. And, so, you'd have to imagine that the people who participate in the survey are for some reason trying to manipulate things or somehow you've gotten 2,000 federal employees to go along with something. No way able to manipulate the figures, career staffers...."
The Labor Department has a bureau that asks 400-thousand businesses how many people are on their payroll every month.
They also use a second survey from the Census Bureau.
They phone about 60-thousand households asking if they're employed.
