The cool weather was nice for fairgoers Saturday.
Maybe making it a little easier to shell out some cash.
But for those of you on a tighter budget, we have some helpful hints to keep you on track.
For families like the Crownovers, the Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo means a full day of fun.
"Just out to have a good time, ride the rides, it's cool weather, eat some food, and maybe watch the rodeo later," said Trent Crownover.
But like many will tell you, a one day trip can cost you a pretty penny.
"Bout 100 bucks,110 bucks, depends on how many kids you got too" said Crownover.
"I would think 100 dollars maybe, 150," said fairgoer Marcie Duncan.
You can't go to the fair without having a corn dog, but that's going to cost you, about five dollars, and feeding a family of four adds up really quick.
But there are some ways to save.
All-day-ride wristbands run you 30-dollars, but when each ride is around 5 dollars, they can save you some cash.
Another tip, don't get more tokens than you need, because those last few coins won't buy you much.
Wes Allison with the Heart O' Texas Fair told us they've taken extra steps to make sure everyone can enjoy the excitement.
"We want folks to have the opportunity multiple time so the way we can do that is to offer specials," said HOT Fair and Rodeo President Wes Allison.
Specials like parents appreciation day, military discount day, and ladies Wednesday, offer discounts to make things a little easier for families.
"It's just out way of helping out the public to come more often," said Allison.
As the Crownovers head to the rides, it makes it a little more enjoyable knowing they got a great deal.
"See like today is parent appreciation day you get in for free if you have your child with you," said Crownover.
