(KCEN) -- A car crashes through the side of an apartment building sending a Waco woman to the hospital.
Residents at the apartment building tell me that a woman was heading down Bowden Drive when she fell asleep.
She hit a truck parked on the street.
Neighbors say that the impact threw the truck a block away then she drove into the apartment building.
Sixty-six-year-old Etta George was sleeping in that apartment, hooked up to oxygen.
There were also several oxygen tanks in the home with her at the time.
When the car hit, she fell off her bed and injured her side.
The family who owns the truck says, if this happened moments before, it could have been much worse.
A neighbor at the apartments Sonia Nicolosff says, "It hurts, it's a very scary thought. Just a moment later my husband would have been sitting in that truck and he would have been smashed."
Another nearby neighbor Jordacha Jett says, "I'm glad there was another truck here because it would have blew my grandmother up and the people up stairs up"
Now Etta George does have congestive heart failure and uses oxygen. But none of it was damaged during the accident.
Right now she is at Providence Hospital with minor injuries.
The apartment complex has already started on repairs.
