(KCEN) -- The boil water notice that was put in place for Lorena residents on the east side of I-35 on October 5 has now been lifted.
Construction on the highway caused a water main to break on Friday and the city told people living in the South Meadows Area and all customers south of that area were asked to boil their water until further notice.
After testing, that water is now safe to drink and does not need to be boiled prior to consumption.
