(KCEN) -- Four illegal immigrants were killed after a smuggler driving a minivan crashed near the Mexico border.

Seven others people were also injured.

It happened in Donna, Texas, near McAllen yesterday.

Border Patrol agents spotted the vehicle coming from the river.

That's when the driver sped away, lost control and rolled the vehicle over.

Many who live near the border say a lot of immigrant smugglers only care about the money, not human lives.

Border Patrol agents say the vehicles these smugglers are driving aren't equipped to handle a high rate of speed, plus the added weight.
