(KCEN) -- In Houston irate parents are upset about a new sex education curriculum that they say crosses the line.
The new material is aimed at 12-year-olds and contains cartoon videos about how to put on a condom.
Parents say it also has inappropriate language and that they want the school board to reconsider using the new program.
The school district says it was chosen because it's proven to work.
The board meeting was for discussion only.
Parents can opt out of the entire program or individual sections of it.
The sex education program is set to start October 24.
