Mother Who Glued Daughter's Hands to Wall Asks for Leniency

(KCEN) -- In Dallas a woman who admitted to beating her 2-year-old daughter and gluing her hands to a wall asked a judge for leniency.

Elizabeth Escalona was all tears at her sentencing yesterday.

In July, Escalona plead guilty to felony injury to a child.

She says she spent years in abusive relationships and promises she won't abuse her children again.

Escalona said, "Elizabeth Escalona's not a monster. I want everybody to know that I'm not a monster. I love my kids. I love my babies."

Escalona faces a faces a sentence ranging from probation to life in prison.
