
(KCEN) UPDATE 10/13 3:15 PM -- The man arrested in Woodway for attempting to sexually assault an elderly woman and then carjacking someone is behind bars.
Thirty-year-old Terrell Schnaufer is charged with Robbery, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Burglary of a Habitation With Intent to Commit Sexual Assault, and Harassment of Public Servant after spitting in the face of an officer.
Police say Schnaufer broke into an elderly woman's home and tried to sexually assault her yesterday evening.
He later carjacked someone in Waco.
Officers tracked down Schnaufer after a witness called police.
That witnesses says Schnaufer originally tried to steal their car but failed.
Police say Schnaufer appeared to be using drugs.
He's currently in the McLennan County Jail.

(KCEN) -- A man is now in police custody after trying to sexually assault an elderly woman and carjacking another.
30 year old Terrell Schhaufer has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation With Intent to Commit Sexual Assault. The attack happened at a West Waco home at 12:17 PM Friday afternoon. Police say Schhaufer entered the residence of an elderly female and attempted to sexually assault her. He fled the scene when she activated her Life Alert Alarm.
A short time later, Schhaufer tried to take a vehicle from a victim in the Woodway area and was not able to. He then found another victim and carjacked that vehicle, also in Woodway. A witness saw this, called 911 and the Woodway Police Department was eventually able to stop the vehicle.
Schhaufer was taken into custody and was taken to Providence Hospital as he appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. He is being guarded at the hospital and once cleared will be transported to the McLennan County Jail.
Multiple agencies as well as Waco PD's Crime Scene and Victim Services responded to assist in this crime spree.
