(KCEN) -- Another person has died from a rare fungal meningitis.

Twenty people have now died from the disease.

Federal health investigators have confirmed the presence of a fungus in one of three lots of steroid injections.

The vials came from the New England Compounding Center.

Doctors say this fungus is the cause of most of 254 meningitis cases.

Today the outbreak reached a 16th state, New York.
