
Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team could not produce enough offense to counter a strong Mississippi College effort, falling to the Lady Choctaws 3-0 Thursday afternoon in Clinton, Miss. With the loss, the Lady Cru falls to 6-6-1 on the season and 3-5-1 in American Southwest Conference action, while the Lady Choctaws improve to 11-3-1 overall and 7-2-0 in conference play.
Kaitlyn Kiss, Macey Lee and Caitlin Chapman all put points on the board for Mississippi College. The Lady Choctaws outshot the Lady Cru 27-2 in the match. Jordan Powers and Darla Gregory both recorded shots for UMHB. Sarah Kathryn Robinson played 70:10 in goal for the Cru, recording 14 saves. Sara Hayward came in for relief, playing for 19:50 and recording two saves.
UMHB will return to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. kickoff at Louisiana College. The Lady Cru will finish the regular season next weekend with home matches against Hardin-Simmons on Friday, Oct. 26th and Howard Payne on Saturday, Oct. 27th. Both games will kickoff at 5 p.m.
