(KCEN) -- A Dallas woman shot two home intruders, killing one and wounding the other.
The pair of burglars kicked down her door just before noon on Wednesday.
When she heard the commotion, she grabbed a gun and confronted the pair while they were walking upstairs.
She then shot them several times.
Both were hit.
One died at the home but the other ran off.
Her father, Charles Brown says he's glad he prepared his daughter for situations like this.
Brown said, "Intruders came and kicked our door and I was just glad that I was able to teach her that if our alarm go off, then it's a problem. And apparently there was a problem cause she got one of them, and I just hate she didn't get both of them."
Police reports show this home had been targeted twice before.
