(KCEN) -- Talk about a chocolate lover's dream come true.

Ghirardelli is celebrating is 160th anniversary and they decided to hold a chocolate championship at the Texas State Fair.

Traditional cakes, cookies and brownies were entered in the competition.

But the chocolateer that took home gold, whipped up an unusual recipe.

The winner created a chocolate taco with herbs

It's a toffee-almond shell with chocolate custard, spearmint and basil inside.

And that's not all.

The choco-taco was topped with salsa-jalapeno jello and shaved white chocolate.

One competitor, Paula Wyse, said, "It's trying to achieve your personal best, you know that elusive win. And we're also so supportive of each other."

Wyse won second this year.

But she says after also winning in the Spam contest, she knew this was going to be her year.
