(KCEN) -- One 4-year-old boy in eastern China ended up in a sticky situation after he fell between the gap of two buildings.

He had been playing on the balcony of his third floor home Saturday when he fell and got stuck between the walls.

The boy was suspended between the buildings for half-an hour until firefighters came to his rescue.

They tied a rope around him before starting to break into the wall from inside one of the buildings.

After about two hours, they managed to make a big enough hole to get him out.

He injured his forehead and suffered some bruises and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
