(KCEN) -- Pumpkin carving is not unusual during the Halloween season, but carving them underwater is not in the norm.

This year's pumpkin carving contest was in the Florida Keys and had a bit of a political edge.

Forty-two divers participated in or watched this year's contest to create a pumpkin in the likenesses of President Obama and Gov. Romney gave it the feel of a presidential debate.

One diver created the likeness of Snoopy and carved the word "vote" into the center.

There is no word yet on a winner.
