(KCEN) -- There were some tense moments yesterday afternoon in downtown Dallas after several white powder-filled envelopes were opened inside a criminal court building.
The envelopes were discovered inside the 203rd Court, which was evacuated while Hazmat teams tested the substance.
When officials deemed the contents not harmful, the all-clear was given.
Hundreds of hoax white-powder letters have been received nationwide since the 2001 anthrax scare following 9-11.
Many of those originated or ended up in the Dallas area.
